KLOTOK - ORANG UTAN TOUR I

Rp 5.000.000/pax min 2 pax

Day 1: Pangkalan Bun - Tanjung Puting (L,D)

Arrive in Pangkalan Bun and transfer directly to Kumai Village to board your houseboat bound for Tanjung Puting National Park. The houseboat is a traditional wooden river vessel, featuring a spacious open deck with a roof—a perfect vantage point to take in the lush, ever-moving rainforest scenery as you glide along the river. Your crew includes a skilled boatman, a talented cook, and an experienced local guide who’ll enrich your journey with insightful knowledge.

During the serene afternoon, enjoy a relaxed cruise through quiet river tributaries, keeping a lookout for primates and other wildlife along the banks. The houseboat is equipped with comfortable amenities: mattresses, pillows, mosquito nets, a fully functional kitchen, a basic toilet, and refreshing bottled water. Meals — including lunch and dinner — are prepared fresh each day, and overnight stays on the boat are comfortable and immersive.

As evening falls, embark on a magical night trek to discover fascinating nocturnal creatures such as insects, frogs, birds, and tiny mousedeer, all hidden in the shadows of the jungle. After the adventure, return to the boat for a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 2: Tanjung Puting National Park (B,L,D)

After a fresh breakfast, we board the houseboat and cruise toward Pondok Tanguy, home to a rehabilitation center for newly released captive orangutans. Here, you’ll witness the early stages of their journey back to the wild, learning to forage and climb under the watchful eyes of dedicated caretakers.

Later, we sail upstream into a tranquil creek to reach Camp Leakey — the iconic sanctuary where older, more independent orangutans are gradually reintroduced into the rainforest. With your expert guide and experienced forest rangers, take a guided trek into the lush jungle to explore the rich biodiversity: vibrant orchids, towering dipterocarps, and a symphony of bird calls. This is your chance to spot wild orangutans swinging through the canopy, gibbons laughing in the trees, macaques playing in the undergrowth, and countless bird species flitting among the foliage.

In the afternoon, visit the feeding station, where rehabilitated orangutans are gently provided with supplementary food — an emotional and unforgettable moment to see these incredible creatures thriving.

As the sun sets, we sail back down the river, drifting peacefully toward our overnight anchorage. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful night on board, wrapped in the gentle rhythm of the river and the whispers of the jungle.

Day 3: Tanjung Puting - Airtport (B)
Breakfast at the houseboat and then cruising down the river into Kumai village while exploring the wildlife on the riverside. Afterward, drive to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
